CLARENCE GCO 2022 POSSUM CONTROL
What’s happening?
Possums are a vector of bovine tuberculosis (TB) spreading the disease through direct contact with stock. To eliminate the risk of bovine TB spreading in domestic stock, TBfree NZ has implemented a possum control operation in an area on the true left of the Clarence River.
Where is it happening?
The operation covers an area of 17,851 hectares along the true left of the Clarence River between Tinkers Saddle and the Nidd Stream confluence. Work will commence around Red Hill and continue north-east towards the Chalk Range.
