Invitation for Expressions of Interest KDC Contract

23-040 – Freedom Camping Enforcement.

Expressions of interest are invited for a 12 month contract for enforcement of local and central government regulations in respect of freedom camping in the Kaikōura District.

Working as an independent contractor, duties will comprise undertaking late evening and subsequent early morning inspections of areas where freedom camping is likely to be occurring and effectively enforcing associated regulations, including the issue of infringements.

It would be expected that the duties would on average require around 20 hours of work per week.

A high level of reliability, attention to detail and the ability to take a firm enforcement approach is necessary. The contractor will also be required to provide their own vehicle for the works. Contractor performance will be monitored by the undertaking of other independent inspections.

A GST exclusive contract price in the order of $45,000 is expected.
