West End Toilets Replacement
Brand new, prefabricated toilet units are replacing the existing toilets in the West End.
The existing West End toilet block, which was built in 1995, requires significant annual maintenance and no longer meets “modern expectations” of public toilets.
The sleek and highly functional new toilet block will boast ten unisex cubicles with wheelchair access and has the capacity to be “image wrapped’’ on the outside.
There is an option to showcase several magnificent scenic Kaikōura images by local photographer Andrew Spencer or to image wrap the new building with the existing West End toilet artworks. Andrew Spencer is photographing the current artworks prior to the demolition to retain digitally for potential future use.
A temporary ten cubicle toilet block will be installed from the 9th of October and will be in place for the duration of the works which are to be completed by November 30th 2024.
