South Bay Forest Harvest Update December 5th 2024

Good progress is being made on the South Bay forest harvest with major felling work expected to be completed by the end of February 2025.

Starting next week for two weeks (Up to the 20th of December) there will be traffic management on State Highway 1 as the team work on trees closer to the main road.

Expect delays between 5-10 minutes and plan your trips accordingly.

We wish to remind you that the forest is closed. Safety is of great priority and people must stay out of the area at all times.

The main sections of the cycle track along the forest will, however, be open over the Christmas period.
