Local Elections 2022 - Preliminary Results

We have received the Preliminary Results for the Kaikōura District Council Local Elections 2022, which are outlined in the link below.

Kaikōura District Council 2022 Election Preliminary Result

Preliminary results have resulted in no changes to the progress list issued yesterday of candidates elected.

This result is based upon the counting of all ordinary votes returned. It does not yet include special votes.

The voter return was 61.95%, being 1,848 votes, excluding special votes.

We expect the final result to be confirmed by Friday 14 October.
