Local Elections 2022 - Progress Results

We have received the Progress Results for the Kaikōura District Council Local Elections 2022, which are outlined in the link below.

Kaikōura District Council 2022 Election Progress Result

This result is based upon the counting of approximately 90% of the returned votes. The progress result does not include some special votes and votes returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all votes have been counted.

The voter return was 56.52%, being 1,686 votes, excluding votes in transit to the processing centre and special votes.

Preliminary results will be published tomorrow Sunday 9 October which will include the votes returned on 8 October. The final result will be confirmed by Thursday 13 October.
