Call for Applications - New Council Discretionary Grants Fund
A new Annual Discretionary Grants Fund has been launched by Council and open to applications from 1 July 2022. The new fund has been launched to acknowledge the valuable contribution of not-for-profit organisations in providing essential services to our community.
It is intended that the Discretionary Grants Fund will replace the need for community groups to make submissions as part of the Annual Plan & Long Term Plan process.
It is open to any not-for-profit organisation that can demonstrate a benefit to the Kaikōura District. In this first year (2022-23) the fund has $47,000 available to support the community. Next year there will be $100,000 available.
The fund is open now for applications for the 2022-23 fund and will close on 07 September 2022. Decisions will be made on funding at the Council meeting on 28 September.
