Kaikōura Resource Recovery Centre – Project Update

The first stage of the new Kaikōura Resource Recovery Centre is due to commence next week.

Initial works will focus on the construction of the access road into the site. This road will utilise the existing entrance to the freedom camping area (with some widening) and will run alongside the BMX pump track at the beginning of the access road.

The public are advised that access to the BMX track may be restricted during construction while heavy machinery is operating. Council would like to reassure the public that the BMX track will remain in place for the community to enjoy and that access will be reinstated once the road works are completed.
