Boil Water Notice Removed for Suburban Water Supply
News Update
The Council, Innovative Waste Kaikōura and local subcontractors have completed pipelaying and the installation of boost pumps in the Suburban Water Scheme area. The pipe layout has been changed so that the water now comes from the Kaikōura Urban Water Scheme bores and treatment plant on Mount Fyffe Road. Water tests have proved that the water is now safe and the Ministry of Health has agreed that the boil water notice can be lifted.
The work has been funded by the Department of Internal Affairs as part of the 3 Waters reform programme.
Current Boil Water Notices remain in place for Fernleigh and East Coast
