Link Pathway Works – Fyffe Quay
As part of the Link Pathway project, a new concrete wall is being developed to create additional width for the pathway to continue from the Old Wharf to Jimmy Armers Beach.
The new wall will bring improved safety for this part of the Link Pathway by enabling path users to be better separated from the road.
The wall is to be constructed by local contractor LMC Building and Construction and works will commence next Wednesday 24th July 2024.
A shipping container will be set up on the site for storage purposes near the old winch site, with a fenced area around it. Access to the wharf will not be obstructed and the container and fence will be removed once the works are completed.
The road will at times be operated as a traffic light controlled one way during the works to provide the necessary space for equipment etc.
The new wall is anticipated to be completed within 8 weeks, weather permitting.
