The Kaikōura Aquatic Centre

Location

The Kaikōura Aquatic Centre is located on Wā Kaukau Terrace off Scarborough Street (South) on the recreation reserve behind Innovative Waste Kaikōura.

Facilities

  • The open air centre has three heated pools
  • 25m x 12m lap pool
  • 6m x 10m multi-use learn to swim/hydrotherapy pool
  • Beach entry toddler pool
  • Splash pad
  • Changing rooms
  • Seating and picnic area (bring your own food and drinks)
  • There is a coin operated BBQ area outside the centre

Opening Times & Availability

PLEASE NOTE: These times are subject to change depending on demand, usage and weather

We are currently open for the 2024/25 season!

Monday to Friday

  • 6:00am to 10:00am
  • 2:00pm to 6:00pm

Saturday and Sunday

  • 9:00am to 6:00pm

Lane and general swimming times

  • Morning session: 7am–9.00am
  • Afternoon session: 3pm - 6pm
  • Weekends & school holidays: 9am-6pm

You can hire the pool for parties, events and classes. Contact the Centre Manager to discuss.
