Draft Esplanade Recreation Reserve Management Plan
Council is seeking public feedback on the Draft Reserve Management Plan for the Kaikōura Esplanade Recreation Reserve to help create a final Reserve Management Plan document.
KDC is working on providing the community a guiding document for the management and use of the recreation reserve of the Esplanade Recreation Reserve, to help plan for future uses and development of the area.
At the Council meeting on the 31st July 2024, the Kaikōura District Council, after reviewing and taking into consideration the feedback received as part of the initial feedback on the Esplanade Recreation Reserve (in the vicinity of the old Lions pool), approved the development of a draft reserve management plan, in accordance with the Reserves Act 1977, that supported mixed uses.
The draft reserve management plan for the Esplanade Recreation Reserve has now been developed and will be made available for public consultation.
Timing:
The consultation will start on the 26th September 2024 at 4pm and conclude on the 27th November 2024 at 4pm.
Making a Submission:
Digital submissions can be made by clicking on the submission link below or by email at submissions@kaikoura.govt.nz or in person to Kaikōura District Council reception 2nd Floor, 96 West End, Kaikōura.
