PUBLIC NOTICE SUMMARY OF SUBMISSIONS AND REQUEST FOR FURTHER SUBMISSIONS OF A PLAN CHANGE TO THE KAIKOURA DISTRICT PLAN - Kaikoura Dark Sky Plan Change 5
In accordance with the Clauses 7 and 8 of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Kaikōura District Council advises:
A summary of decisions requested by persons making submissions may be inspected at:
- The Kaikōura District Council reception – 2nd Floor, 96 West End
- Kaikōura District Library – 1st floor, 96 West End
- By clicking the summary of submissions link at the bottom of this page.
There is now an opportunity to make further submissions.
The Resource Management Act prescribes that a further submission period is no longer than 10 working days from the date of this notice, 5pm on 16th May 2024 is the last day further submissions may be made.
- A further submission is limited to a matter in support of, or opposition to, an original submission. Under clause 8 of Schedule 1, further submissions can only be made by:
- persons who are representing a relevant aspect of the public interest.
- persons who have an interest in the proposed policy statement or plan that is greater than the interest the general public has.
- the Council itself.
Further submissions are not to extend the scope of an original submission. The same trade competition limits that apply to submissions also apply to further submissions. See clauses 8-8A of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991 for further details on the processes and requirements for making further submissions.
